The camera reflects my first two weeks at Amal Academy.

To recall all the events: now it makes me emotional, and I can feel raw emotions. How wonderful the time was. Looking back, I feel so grateful to all the people who make it possible for me. When you start something, you don’t realize how much It has the power to change you. However, the change should be positive and rewarding. That can be possible when you’re also investing in yourself and helping others along the way. I want to thank you for all the love and support from the bottom of my heart.

First, I was excited but skeptical about it. I wasn’t sure whether it would be helpful or not. It was an unexpected journey where I was able to explore a lot about myself and others. The first thing that I learned was the principles of progress.

All I need to do is to start. Start today. Start now. Small beginnings lead to bigger ones. I can take time to do the planning, however, I have to focus on implementing the plans. I need to do both side by side to see the results. I need to be self-aware of how I’m growing and what I’m thinking. The opinions I have about things. The biases and judgments. I’m the best person who can analyze my shortcomings and strengths. The most important thing is to learn how to self-learn. That is the only thing that makes you different from the crowd. The process of learning never stops in life. The moment I stop learning, I will stop growing.

Making life maps was a new and fascinating activity for me. At first, I did not have a clue and struggled a lot with what to do. Eventually, I was able to do it, and it was so fun. During the first two weeks, I was able to identify many different areas where I was lacking. In the session, I was hesitant to speak up, but I quickly realized that I could not learn much that way. I started to take the initiative without hesitation.

I also found myself a bit unclear and vague in the activities. I don’t necessarily need to use a lot of words to explain anything. I should learn to speak clearly and precisely. I also noted that I lost my focus quickly, and I’m not an active listener. So, I decided to work on that.

It was like a camera for me; what I want to focus on? It is crucial to set the right angle, focus, and attention in your life as in the camera. When you lose focus, you’re unclear what exactly you’re seeing.
